The PAC International-crafted RC-1 Boost is designed to be used in a variety of noise suppression applications, such as steel or wood-framed wall and ceiling systems. This novel product successfully decouples the Generic RC-1 channel from the framing construction, improving its acoustical performance.
When spaced no more than 16 x 24 oc, the RC-1 Boost clip can effectively sustain up to two layers of 5/8 gypsum board because to its outstanding Acoustical design load capacity of 18 lbs. per isolator. The UL Fire Resistive Design requirements dictate the ultimate span of the RC-1 Boost isolators. Notably, the specially supplied RC-1 Boost Screw is used to secure the RC-1 Boost clip to the framing, allowing it to wrap around the screw edge of the conventional RC channel perfectly. This clever design stops STC and IIC vibrations from entering adjacent spaces by successfully decoupling the gypsum board from the framework.
