Description
Rolls of 100 linear feet of Green Glue Noiseproofing Joist Tape are available in two width options: 1-7/16″ and 2-1/4″. This product is especially made to reduce noise from floors that are caused by joist or subflooring friction. To ensure maximum efficiency, please choose the width that corresponds to your floor joists and make sure the Joist Tape covers the joist width sufficiently. Make sure all surfaces are dry, clean, and free of moisture, ice, and grime before applying.

Application Guidelines:
– Using the adhesive side facing down, apply the noiseproofing joist tape, making sure to cover every top floor joist evenly. Either hand labor or the Green Glue Joist Tape Applicator can be used for this.
– After installing the Noiseproofing Joist Tape, install the subfloor by attaching it to the joists in accordance with conventional procedures.
Important Information:
– When using Joist Tape to secure the flooring, it is not advised to use construction adhesive.
– Make sure Joist Tape is applied at a minimum temperature of 50°F for the adhesive to work properly.
– Please note that Joist Tape does not offer any extra acoustical benefits; rather, it is designed exclusively to reduce squeaking brought on by subfloor-to-joist contact.
